IN my continuing quest for The One (if such a thing exists, and isn't just a retrospective invention) I thought I'd post a little round up of the dresses I've loved the most this week.
This one has started me thinking about getting something made instead of buying off-the-peg.
For all the details and more fabulous photos click here. Picture is by Hannah Bergman of Steve Steinhardt
PS: I wish we were like the US and you could just get married anywhere. This couple got married on the roof of a car park. That may sound odd, but it looks amazing. And how fab is this homemade chandelier?
Following on from last week's Cinderella theme, how about these beauties from Ian Stuart?
This one's called Florentina, and the roses on the hip are also on the back and side of the skirt too...
And this one is called Mariette. It's from the Storybook collection. It looks pricey. But quite a lot like a dress Cinderella might wear!
This is the Neopolitan. Lovely.
On a completely different tack... how about this one?
It's the Lebrija by La Sposa and I think it's really lovely. And finally, have a look at the Vintage Wedding Dress Company. They have a range of basic dresses in shapes from the last six decades that you can customise.
I love them all: anyone gone down this route? I'd love to hear about it!
