The source of my dress woes...
... is this book. Has to be.
Never mind that I haven't laid eyes on a copy since I was about ten, or that I was a real tomboy as a child, I always loved this dress.
(For book geeks, this is the 1981 version of the Ladybird Well Loved Tales. Most people remember the 1964, which had a pink dress on the cover. Cinders makes it to three balls in both editions though.)
