DIY flowers: some inspiration

On the hunt for flower ideas that I can do myself I've found some great fabric flower projects:

First: some Japanese kanzashi petals:

Then there's these, which I've seen in a few places but only just found the how-to for: (will be trying these as soon as I get home tonight!)

Next is this terribly cute fabric flower from Pink Paper Peppermints :

which I think would be fabulous for a summer DIY wedding, made super large and worn at the waist or shoulder...

Slightly more traditional but still super-cute, these fabric boutonierres are from La La Lauria, via Once Wed, and as you'd expect from Laurie, they're amazing...

And finally: I love this in so many ways - as a card, as a flower, as an idea.

The how-to is not so clear as some of the others, so I'm going to give the flower a go and if I can make it work I'll post some instructions tomorrow.
